MSS-IO Electronic Switch with IO-Link Interface

The SCHURTER MSS-IO electronic switch is based on the successful MSS electronic switch, which has been expanded to include an IO-Link module.

The MSS-IO switch is based on wear-free resistance measurement and completely avoids mechanical components. Instead of capacitive technology, a precise change in electrical resistance is used for switch detection, which is sensitive enough to detect the smallest changes in pressure and robust enough for industrial series processes. It is ultra-rugged, precise, and easy to integrate.

The MSS-IO is easy to clean thanks to its closed surface. The switch is insensitive to water, dirt, and cleaning substances. This is a clear advantage in hygienically sensitive areas such as food processing or laboratory automation. The absence of moving parts minimizes maintenance effort and significantly increases service life.

The IO-Link interface allows bidirectional communication, parameterization during operation, and real-time diagnostics. The connection is made via standard M12 connectors. Predictive maintenance and simple integration into existing Industry 4.0 environments are guaranteed.
