MGD Series Resonix® Refrigerant Leak Sensors

Sensata Technologies MGD series Resonix refrigerant leak sensors are designed to meet demanding OEM requirements for A2L refrigerant detection in HVAC and refrigeration equipment. The MGD is a compact embedded module that uses patented Speed of Sound technology from Sensata to continuously monitor the acoustic resonance of surrounding air, enabling rapid response and fast start-up when A2L gases are present.

The MGD series is compatible with R32 series, R454 series, and R455 series refrigerants, with options that allow detection of two or three refrigerants within the same part number, simplifying inventory and engineering processes. Additional benefits include superior resistance to overexposure and poisoning, high temperature and humidity resistance, and a lifetime greater than 15 years with no calibration required, making the MGD the ideal leak detection component for A2L HVAC/R systems.
