Image of Vishay Dale's RCC Series Medium-Power Thick-Film Chip Resistors Vishay's RCC series is a series of thick-film chip resistors available in the most commonly used sizes: 0402, 0603, 0805, and 1206. RCC series parts have enhanced rated power up to 0.5 W with a 1206 case size and a boosted working voltage of up to 200 V for the 0805 size. This series is available with a tolerance of ±5% or ±1% along with 100 ppm and 200 ppm TCR. The RCC series is automotive AEC-Q200 qualified and is offered with a broad resistance range from 1 Ω to 10 MΩ. This is in addition to the 0 Ω jumpers, offering improved maximum current capability up to 5 A for the 1206 package size. With a higher power rating and working voltage, the RCC series is suited to replace standard resistors of the next larger size. For instance, the RCC0805 is rated to 0.25 W with a working voltage of 200 V and can replace the next larger standard 1206 package size, 0.25 W, 200 V thick-film chip resistor. Additionally, offering twice the power of standard thick-film chip resistors and rated to 0.5 W, the RCC1206 can be used in place of two parallel 1206 devices or a single device in the larger 1210 case size, allowing designers to save board space while lowering component counts and reducing placement costs.
