Redesigning servo drives with silicon carbide also enables the integration of the drive and motor, creating compact embedded drives that require fewer cables and smaller power cabinets. The Wolfspeed portfolio of SiC MOSFETs, Schottky diodes, and power modules enables greater flexibility when designing with silicon carbide in servo drives. Customers can choose from a variety of package types to build a custom solution that can improve overall system efficiency by 2.6% or more and reduce system losses by up to 50%. Additionally, users can accelerate the servo drive design process by using the Wolfspeed SpeedFit™ design simulator as the first step to selecting the right devices for the design.
